Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone  is Harry’s first introduction to the wizarding world. Harry lives with three muggles; Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and his cousin Dudley Dursley. The Dursley’s think and treat Harry like an unwanted family member – for example, his bedroom is a cupboard under  the stairs.

Harry’s life changes when a giant named Hagrid gives him an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On the train to Hogwarts Harry meets Ron and Hermione who stick with him till the end. Harry is overwhelmed with his new school. He loves everything about Hogwarts, except his arch nemesis Draco Malfoy and Draco’s two goons Crabbe and Goyle.

At the end Harry has a run in with “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” who is also known as the person who killed Harry’s parents. This book is really good. You will get swept off your feet by how much detail and how much excitement, action, and adventure there is in this book. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes good literature.
